The Z90 is a member of a family of miniature, low power, high performance thermal viewers. The Z90, a thermal infrared viewer operates without a shutter or thermo-electric cooler found in most other LWIR units. This provides longer battery life, silent operation and instant on operation which are critical in covert and mobile operations.
